If your day already lives in Salesforce — logging calls, updating opportunities, tracking cases — checking your open time means tabbing out to a separate calendar app, eyeballing gaps between meetings, and tabbing back. It's a small context switch, but it happens a dozen times a day for anyone who schedules internal meetings, follow-ups, or calls constantly.
Salesforce: Find Available Time Slots From Your Business Hours and Events
User Calendar Assistant, part of Power User Toolkit, works from two things Salesforce already knows about you: your assigned Business Hours and your existing Events. It's built so you can find available time slots in Salesforce itself, without leaving the record you're working on.
Pick a date range, and it walks every day in that window, checks it against your Business Hours, and subtracts anything already on your calendar, returning your open 30-minute slots grouped by day. Click a slot to select it, and a running summary tracks what you've picked across the range.
A second tab shows your upcoming Events at a glance, each one linking straight to the record. It's designed to be pinned to the utility bar, so it's one click away from any page in Salesforce instead of a separate app entirely — an admin adds it there once, and it's available everywhere after that.
What it's built for
This checks your own calendar, not a colleague's — it's a "when am I actually free" tool, not a scheduling assistant for booking other people's time. That's a narrower job than a full scheduling app — and it's the one that comes up several times a day: a fast answer to "am I free Thursday afternoon" without leaving the record you're working on.
Common questions
Can I check someone else's availability, like a teammate's?
No — it calculates slots from the logged-in user's own Business Hours and Events. It's built for checking your own schedule, not looking up a colleague's.
What counts as an open slot?
Any 30-minute window inside your assigned Business Hours that doesn't overlap an existing Event on your calendar.
Does it work with multiple Business Hours records, like different time zones?
It shows Business Hours records that match your own user time zone, so the slots you see are already in your local time.
