🛠 How Power User Toolkit: PII & Sensitive Data Detector Works

  1. Install Power User Toolkit: Get it on AppExchange: Power User Toolkit on AppExchange

  2. Create a New Policy

    • Open the Policy Configurator

    • Select your Object (e.g., Case)

    • Choose one or more Fields to scan

    • Pick from built-in Patterns: Email, Phone, SSN, Passport, Credit Card, Driver License

  3. Run, Monitor & Abort

    • Click Run Policy

    • Watch the live Execution Log for progress and errors

    • If needed, click Abort Job to stop scanning immediately

  4. Review & Remediate

    • Drill into the Matches related list on the policy record

    • Click any entry to open the affected record

    • See PII highlighted in context—mask, redact, or relocate as needed
